In writing 'When The Liar Speaks' the only goal in mind, was to create something more to the point and less sprawling than its predecessor. The writing and recording for this ep took place in a time-span of four months, working again in the studio of Saint Claire Recording Company.
I'm not sure I know who the liar is per se, though I know I've listened to and even heeded his wretched advice. Tthat in turn, often leads to reflection, and in this particular instance, six songs.
I played all the instruments on this batch of songs in attempt to prove to myself that I could do it. A lie I had previously told myself that I couldn't do. The Hope Circuit, for me, more than anything else, is a driving force to keep fighting. So I did, and so I will.
Humanity's willingness to meet failure with hope is remarkable, and it's from this extraordinary ability, above all else, that I draw inspiration. Countless philosophical and spiritual worldviews revolve around our need to reject despair. Yet perhaps there is more science than philosophy inherent to this pattern. A hardwired response to try again, to go against the odds: The Hope Circuit.
